Week 11

For my money, I'd like to see OSU beat the Wildcats because I think Mike Stoops is a far worse entity than the Beavers; plus, on the off chance the Beavers beat Oregon, at least that punishes Pete Carroll, who is almost as bad an entity as Mike Stoops.

Week 10

(I've been out of town and out of internet access for two weeks--apologies for the delayed update.)

In week two a hurricane hit the coast of Texas. I was on a plane with a Texan the other day, and she referred to it as Hurricane "Aaaahhk." Anyway, I bring this up because, as a result, the scheduled week two matchup of Baltimore vs Houston was postponed, and rescheduled for week 10. The problem being that Houston was already scheduled to play Cincinnati on week 10; so the NFL moved the Houston vs Cincinnati game to week 8. Two games were thus played on the "wrong" weeks. This makes everything confusing, and I've just moved the points for those games to their originally scheduled weeks, since that's where we all picked them. As a result, earlier subtotals change for everybody by a game or two.

Week 9

Wow. As rotten as this week was for my NFL picks (4 games correct) and Oregon (10 point loss in the rain at Cal) at least we got on the board. Take a moment to ponder (again) what is happening in Washington State sports: The two division 1 college football teams in the state (UW and WSU) were beaten a combined 116-0 this weekend. Then along come the Seahawks on Sunday, and they'd have been beaten 27-0 if they hadn't somehow gotten a long-bomb touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.
