Week Sixteen 2005

Nothing is settled. Josh Cochrane is three games up going into today, but could be overtaken by either Mike Alexander or Kurt Wolken. To overtake him they need the following results:
Mike:
Oakland beats NYG
Carolina beats Atlanta
San Francisco beats Houston
Tennessee beats Jacksonville
...if those four things happen, Mike is the outright 2005 winner.
Kurt:
Oakland beats NYG
New Orleans beats Tampa Bay
San Francisco beats Houston
Seattle beats Green Bay
...if those four things happen, Kurt is the outright 2005 winner.
If my recollection of probability is right, Josh has a 7:1 chance of winning it all, with Kurt and Mike splitting the 1.
Second place will fall to Josh (in the unlikely events above), Kurt, Mike, or even a three-way tie for second between Kurt, Mike, and Jim Peck. George Doddington is the other guy sniffing third place money.
The only thing not up in the air? Gene Sanford has run away with last place, and is assured of getting his money back. He has an 11-game, er, lead.
Anyway, here's how things stand going into the final week:

Mary: 7 140

Week 15

So exciting is the football pool this year that I have just wet my pants, again. The tense buildup to Josh Cochrane's inevitable pratfall blundering finish is getting more intense by the week, but if he doesn't hurry up and get on with the blundering pratfall it will be too late and he'll actually win. In fact, even if Kurt wins every game this week he will still be stuck one game behind Josh entering the final week.

I would also like to point out that were it not for Sara Ferris getting 13 this week, I would have had the best score, finally, for once. Alas. Curse you, Ferris.

The Big Five, entering the final two weeks
Josh: 146
Kurt: 142
